Bargemon is an idyllic little village with 7 fountains, called the pearl of the Haut Var. It has only 1500 habitants. But never the less some of its nice corners didn’t escape the eye of many artists. Bargemon is a medieval village and played an important role in history for its excellent location, his pure air and water. The high walls that surrounded Bargemon in medieval times preserved the village from many wars and attacts. Therefore the village has a lot of old buildings, little alleys and picturesque corners still intact. Bargemon became well known as a pelgrimage location after the apparition of virgin marie in 1635.

Not only the village itself is one of the most beautiful of the region but it’s location is perfect for discovering the Provence. It is only 40 minutes away from the “Côte d’Azur” or in the other direction from the Alpes with the famous “Gorges du Verdon”. A little further you can easily reach Nice, Monaco, Cannes or some ski stations in the Alpes. There is plenty of natural reserves in the neigbourhood and a big amound of nice walks in the mountains. And although Bargemon is a wellknown place for tourists, it is not too crowded in summer, What makes it a warm and welcoming little french town.
THE place TO BE
Bargemon is located in the mountains where you can enjoy the amazing views, forrests and nature and at the same time the warm Mediterranean climate. During the day in summer average temperature is around 32°C and it is nice that in the evening it cools down to a nice 24°C. The region is known for it’s olive oil and wine production, it’s aromatic herbs and medieval history.
